The NRA's training department is an excellent source that is widely trusted by many for certification of firearms familiarity & competence. Our NRA classes follow exactly the NRA curriculum as per our instructor's agreement with NRA. These classes are good basic shooting classes and also qualify you to apply for your Wyoming Concealed Carry Weapons (CCW) permit.
There are many thousands of NRA Instrctors just as there are many thousands of violin players. We deliver excellence.
If our scheduled classes do not meet your needs, please contact us to schedule a private class for you or your group. Private classes in JH are $750 for 1- 5 students and $140 for each additional student.
We have Certified Instructors for Utah Concealed Firearms Permit (CFP) as well; if you would like to schedule a private training with your group of 8 or more, please call to arrange this instruction.

NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course
Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol
safely.
More Details: This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic
pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules;
shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill
development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA
Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
NRA Basic Rifle Shooting Course
Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe use of
a rifle in target shooting.
More Details: This course is at least 14 hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot
rifles. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; rifle parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules;
shooting from the bench rest, prone, sitting, standing and kneeling positions; cleaning, and continued opportunities for skill development.
Students will receive the Basics of Rifle Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification
booklet, take a Basics of Rifle Shooting Student Examination, and course completion certificate.
NRA Basic Shotgun Shooting Course
Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for the safe and proper use
of a shotgun in shooting a moving target.
More Details: This course is at least ten-hours long and includes classroom and range time
learning how to shoot shotguns at moving targets. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; shotgun parts and operation; shotgun
shell components; shotgun shell malfunctions; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting at straight away and angled targets; cleaning;
and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the Basics of Shotgun Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules
brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Shotgun Shooting Student Examination, and course completion
certificate.
NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® Seminars
Short Description : Teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for developing a strategy
for ones personal safety.
More Details: The seminar includes classroom instruction on a variety of crime prevention strategies,
from criminal psychology to automobile crimes to cyber crime. Seminars can vary in length, and may be modified to suit the needs of
a particular audience. This is not a firearms instruction course, and does not include instruction in physical combat self-defense.
Seminars teach about common weaknesses that criminals may take advantage of, and teaches a variety of corrective measures that are
practical, inexpensive, and easy to follow. Strategies include home security, carjack avoidance techniques, cyber safety, and use
of personal safety devices. A complete seminar may last as long as eight hours and include the entire lesson plan, but a modified
seminar may be as short as 90 minutes and address a specific topic. Students will receive the Refuse To Be A Victim student handbook,
NRA Refuse To Be A Victim® brochure, NRA Become A Refuse To Be A Victim® Instructor Brochure, Refuse To Be A Victim® Firearms Supplement,
and a course completion certificate.
